Bayfield is the gateway to 22 islands, 9 lighthouses, and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. It offers some of the best kayaking anywhere in North America. Paddle through emerald waters while coasting through sandstone cathedral-like sea caves.

First-time paddlers are encouraged to join a guided expedition, which makes it simple and safe to kayak Lake Superior. Here are two options for ½ day guided tours. The AM start ½ day tours would bring you back to Bayfield in the early afternoon leaving plenty of time before our late afternoon/early evening ceremony. There is also option for a night tour. Apostle Island Rustic Makwa Den and Trek and Trail are two options for kayak tours.

For those who are not interested in kayaking, there are boat cruises that go for 2-3 hours that show you even more. They are scheduled at different times throughout the day and can be booked through Apostle Island Cruises
